S and I went to a birthday party for a niece’s daughter on the weekend. The park where the party was held was a surprise and beautiful. Magnificent jacaranda’s were in flower and the old architecture of the parks previous function as a brick works added to the charm. Located in the Brisbane suburb of Seventeen Mile Rocks and reclaimed from the site of an old brick works. As the name says, it is right next to the Brisbane river and is a really nice park with great amenities. The shelters were popular on the day with three parties being held in the park as well as one other that brought their own shelter. The park is great for kids with playgrounds, flying fox, a basketball court and heaps of areas to run around in. A welcome bonus on a hot day was the water park for kids to play in.
It really is lucky that we can access local knowledge to find out about these gems.
