Being stuck at home I only have the local wildlife to appreciate. I have been watching a small group of Silvereyes, up to five individual birds, visit the elderberry bush in our backyard. They seem quite fond of the little black berries. All parts of the elderberry is supposed to contain cyanide-inducing glycosides? I wonder how they affect the birds? The berries are also supposed to be antioxidant rich. Love the little birds bringing life to the backyard. Delicate little things, flitting about and making happy little trilling noises.
