A beach themed book snap Sunday this week; The Penguin Book of Mermaids, a collection of mermaid themed folk tales from around the world, fascinating the differences between the western mermaid tradition and how other cultures portray the mermaid. This is one of those books you can keep handy to dip into when you are between more substantial reads. I will slowly dip in and out of this one through the year. Could not resist the opportunity to use the beach setting of our recent escape. It is pretty much a perfect beach read really.
