Just a quick #BookSnapSunday. I joined in on the #wyndhamreadalong2021 on Instagram last week and just bolted through Day of the Triffids. Wyndham has a timeless, polished quality to his writing. While it might be a cold war sci-fi, the idea that humanity will destroy itself with it’s own greed driven cleverness is just as relevant today as when Wyndham first wrote. Triffids is well deserving of it’s classic status.

Great cover! My copy is just one of those plain orange penguin classics. Must reread this one again. Missed booksnap this week. I went out west for a wedding, so feeling a bit tired too. Next week.
