Just a quick book post, just finished Ashley Hay's Gum the story of eucalyptus and their champions, heavy on history, bit light on the botany but a great read, especially enjoyed the chapter; Ancient kingdom of fire and the chapters that recounted the Wilderness society's efforts to preserve wilderness areas and the discussion of climate change and what it will mean for our eucalypt forests. Lyrical, informative writing, a great read. #NatureWriting #NatureReading #Bookstagram #Bush #Books #Eucalypt #GumTree
The creek was really flowing! Normally a crossing point but maybe not at the moment, might get more than just wet boots. Not that long ago the park was desolate with drought and fire, now it is filled with the joyous sound of rushing water.
