Just a quick book snap this week, feeling a bit slack. John Lewis-Stemple is one of my favourite nature writers, Meadowland The private life of an English field is a surprisingly compelling account of a year in the life of a sheep paddock and The Running Hare is a just as compelling account of efforts to restore a piece farmland to pristine meadow. I also love the covers on these books. The secret life of the Owl is a short little book, informative and beautifully written not as great as the other titles shown but still a good nature read.
#BookSnapSunday is a weekly bookish Instagram meme hosted here at Gum trees and Galaxies.com, if you would like to join in please feel free to leave a link to your post in the comments below. Happy reading.
Like those covers too, even though we shouldn’t really choose books by the cover. I still do anyway. My daughter Bec might like the ones about owls – loves everything owlish. My reading has slipped terribly in the last few weeks and now booksnaps will be limited to home. I’ll have to be really creative now.

Yes, semester break is around the corner. Perhaps I might find a little more time for reading.
